We have not yet located a John O'Conner who was a Lieut. In addition to the Civil War cdvs, the lot includes: one cabinet card, two real photo postcards (one from Naples, message in Italian), six tintypes (cdv-sized or 6th plate), one cut to cdv-size from a postcard, 38 cdvs that are likely from a family album with many Cincinnati photographers: Ball & Thomas, Geo. Schuster, Marceau & Billsmith, Cowan's, Winder's Sky0Light Gallery, Bishop's, Rensler's (this is the trimmed postcard), J.P. Weckman, Brownell's, Walton & Anderson, Walter & Heuck's, Sweet's Gallery. Condition: Variable, most with some handling wear. A few severely trimmed (other than the postcard).
