Two 19th Century ivory brisé fans depicting scenes of figures in a landscape with pagodas, etc CONDITION REPORTS One fan is only carved on one side and has 21 sticks not including the ends. Areas of discolouration as well as some small areas of damage. There appears to have ben some glue on the back of the sticks, possibly holding the ribbon in place originally. The other fan is carved both sides and has 19 sticks excluding ends. Ribbon is broken in several places. Discolouration throughout. Has some areas of damage to the carved areas. Both are in need of a clean, have general wear conducive with age and use - see images for further details
