Twelve Dominick & Haff Sterling Silver Bread Plates, inscribed with "Aztec" along the rim, dia. 6 1/2 in., approx. total 36.2 troy oz. Provenance: The Aztec was built in 1902 as a private steam yacht for A.C. Burnage. Burnage leased the ship to the US Navy for use during WWI. After the war, the Aztec was restored to a civilian yacht before being purchased for the Royal Canadian Navy in 1931. There she was assigned to anti-submarine patrols and convoy escorts during WWII.
