A silver seal-top spoon, the fig-shaped bowl flaring from the hexagonal shaft; the fluted baluster seal knob engraved with a capital 'A' on the rounded upper surface. 65 grams, 190 mm. Generally fine; a few minor dinks and lacquered. A nice example of a rare spoon. Provenance Ex Bonhams 17834, lot 71. Found on the River Thames foreshore. Recorded with the London Museum.
