Ornithologia Danmoniensis, 2 parts in 1 volume, 1st edition, for the author, 1809, 7 engraved plates (of which 6 hand-coloured), original wrappers for volume 1, numbe 2 bound in, small spot to title-page, quires G-H moderately browned, plates toned, guarded, a few marginal marks, stab-holes visible in margins not affecting images, tape-repair to upper inner corners of woodlark and male sparrowhawk plates, fore and bottom edges untrimmed, modern green crushed half morocco gilt, large 4to (29.6 x 22.6 cm) (Qty: 1) Mullens & Swann pp. 590-1; Wood p. 603. All published of the first local English avifauna. 'It is an ambitious work, the text of which ends abruptly at p. 88 of the Introduction.The two parts printed show the author to have been an educated naturalist' (Wood).
