The Meissen manufactory purchased this and the other large model of a horse for RM 3,100 each. Esser reworked the plaster model in Berlin between May and August and delivered the finished model to Meissen in October. Due to the technical difficulties in producing such a large model, only a single example of this model was sold by 1933 and five more by 1937. Only one other example of this model is recorded in the Grassi-Museum in Leipzig.
