Beschreibung:

Tiffany Studios Bronze and Gold Favrile Glass Ten-Light Pond Lily Lamp Circa 1915 Nine shades signed L.C.T. Favrile , one later shade unmarked; base stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 381. Height 21 inches, height of tallest shade 4 3/4 inches. C Estate of Marian Clark Adolphson, CT
Shades: each appears to be in generally good condition; one shade, however, has a large dark particle inclusion embedded within the body of the glass, located close to the bottom rim edge; one shade is a later, replaced, non-Tiffany shade, as described in the catalogue entry (it is also thicker and heavier than the other shades and this shade is not signed); the shades have nice pink, purple, gold and blue highlights to the iridescent surfaces; there are slight variations to the ruffled edges, shapes, color, etc. Base: the original bronze lily-pad-shaped on/off "key" has been replaced with a later black plastic switch (molded maker's mark: HART SWITCH); one of the small metal circular nuts that secures the pronged metal shade holder at the join juncture of the prong mount and the upper terminal end of the lily stem has been replaced; the stem cluster appears to be in good sturdy condition, i.e., not loose or wobbly; at least three of the light sockets have short-circuit problems so the lamp cannot safely be illuminated; the lamp will require the services of an electrician or professional person to be re-wired for safe usage; lamp has a later cord; patina is uniformly dulled and will benefit from a gentle cleaning and perhaps waxing; there are traces of green patina, notably in the crevices and lower parts of the stems; some light superficial scratch/scuff marks, not of any real consequence; there is a small area of heavy wear/rubbing to the patina in the area immediately beneath the on/off switch, consistent with age, usage and handling; no apparent losses to any of the metal prong "fingers" that secure the glass shaded into place; the lamp retains ten porcelain protective socket liners, however, one has a large chip loss and there are two main variations to the liners, which suggests some may be original and others are likely later replacements
