Tibet The Imperial Courier Post The Nepali Tribute Mission to China 1908 cover from Kazi Bharab Bahadur, leader of the Quinquennial Mission to China in 1906. Written on his return journey from Peking and addressed to Kathmandu, it bears his personal seal on the reverse. This letter would have been carried by runners. Fine and attractive. Photo Bharab Bahadur told the British minister in Peking that the Mission lost money due to the new Chinese law regarding prohibited goods, including opium. With the fall of the Qing Empire, Nepal felt no longer bound to continue the century old mission system. This mission between 1906-08 was the last one. 詳情請參閱英文說明
