The portrait of David Ben Gurion on the coins was designed by Andre Laser (after a photograph by Alfred Bernheim . The letters and the face of the coin were designed by Zvi Narkis. The three coins are housed in the original leather-like pouch (with the Emblem of Israel embossed on). The case is housed in a cardboard case partly covered with velvet.
