Three large miniatures on leaves from an illuminated manuscript Book of Hours in Latin on vellum 3 separate leaves, 116mm. by 76mm., 19 lines, written-space 73mm. by 43mm., lettre bâtarde, illuminated initials and line-fillers, with miniatures in arched compartments, 66mm. by 44mm., (a) the Flight into Egypt, Joseph leading the donkey through a landscape, the pagan statue starting to fall from its pillar, initial with a strawberry and 4 lines of text below (Vespers, fol.54v of the manuscript), full border on parti-coloured heart-shaped compartments including strawberries, daisies, corn flowers, snails and insects, (b) the Crucifixion, saints on the left, soldiers on the right, landscape background, initial with a strawberry and 4 lines of text below (Matins, Hours of the Cross, fol.65r of the manuscript), full border with prophets in architectural niches on the right and jewels on a liquid gold ground, and (c) Pentecost, the Virgin and the apostles on the right of a room gazing outwards to the Dove entering through a door, initial with a strawberry and 4 lines of text below (Matins, Hours of the Holy Ghost, fol.67v of the manuscript), full border on ground partly of liquid gold including a dragonfly, an owl, a hedgehog and a rabbit, some wear, cut close to edge of illumination
