Beschreibung:

2 volumes of 3. Volume I with added engraved title page by C.A. Lesueur; with 36 hand-colored engraved plates interleaved with descriptions. 25x16 cm (9¾x6¼"), duotone boards with pictorial title label on Volume I, paper spine labels on both, supplied cloth-covered slipcase. First Edition. Magnificent hand-colored plates. Thomas Say was the great-grandson of John Bartram and a brilliant naturalist in his own right.
