Ditko's black magic cover fronts three stories by the artist, including haunted house thriller "Die Laughing!," pretty clearly swiped from Harvey Kurtzman's "House of Horror" (Haunt of Fear #15, May 1950). Ditko even swipes the main characters' outfits, right down to one college boy's letter sweater and another's turtleneck. Ditko swipes are seldom-seen; perhaps the artist's Ayn Rand obsession, which developed after his '50s Charlton stint, prohibited such pilferings. Anyway, what would Mr. A say?
