Text by George Mackay Brown. Prints by John Bellany, Steven Campbell, Peter Howson, Jack Knox, Bruce McLean, June Redfern, and Adrian Wiszniewski. (Folio) 56.5x38 cm (22¼x15"). Presented in publisher's green buckram slipcase stamped in gilt, matching chemise. Prints were produced at Peacock Printmakers in Aberdeen, Scotland. No. 10 of an edition limited to 60 copies numbered in Arabic from a total numbered edition of 75. A wide array of printmaking techniques bringing the fauna and mytho-fauna of Scotland to vibrant life. Signed by the author and each artist at colophon, as issued. "There are an extra fifteen signed copies numbered I to XV, printed for the publisher, artists and author. A further ten complete and incomplete proof copies also exist. An additional fifty portfolios of the graphics in this book have also been published ..." – colophon. Laid in is a sheet of Paragon Press stationery signed by the publisher, "With Compliments, Charles Booth-Clibborn". The first publication of Paragon Press.
