The Rolling Stones A collection of Eric Easton's office correspondence, various dates, 1963-1965 including carbon copies of typescript letters from Eric Easton and original typescript letters to Easton, his company or The Rolling Stones; the earliest carbon copy dated 7th May, 1963 from Eric Easton to Brian Jones initially discussing the purchase of two AC 30 Twin Vox Amps for a recording session on Friday [10th May, 1963 at Olympic Studios -- the recording of the Stones' first single Come On/I Want To Be Loved released on 7th June, 1963] and then mentioning a difference of opinion with Andrew Loog Oldham concerning the Management Agreement , Easton telling Jones ..I am afraid that Andrew is definitely a little less easy going in these matters than I would be. He is of the opinion that he does not wish to enter into an agreement for a probational period of 12 months and he does in fact feel that the Agreement should be for a period of three years. If he feels so strongly about this and as he did in fact "discover" you in the first place, I feel that I must go along with him in this particular instance... 1p.; a selection of correspondence between Easton and Jennings Musical Industries regarding the purchase of two reconditioned Vox Twin Amplifiers in May, 1963; a quantity of letters on booking agents' headed stationery, various dates from 25th July, 1963 to 3rd April, 1964 concerning payments for Stones' performances at various venues including: "Studio 51", Ken Colyer Jazz Club, London; St. Mary's Hall, Putney, London; the Lido Ballroom, Winchester; Kayser Bondor Ballroom, Baldock, Hertfordshire; Hastings Pier, Sussex; and the Invicta Ballroom, Chatham, Kent; also for the Rolling Stones appearances during the Ronettes Tour.. ; a small collection of correspondence between Eric Easton and the manager of The Jazz Cellar Club, Kingston-on-Thames relaying a dispute involving a breach of contract and non payment for a performance; and another carbon copy from Easton to Mr. & Mrs Lawrence, dated 17th May, 1965, mentioning ...Linda's baby.. (a lot)
