It included the Floyd and Whitehouse journals and material from the Clark-Voorhis papers, along with facsimile manuscripts, maps, portraits and other illustrative matter. “This edition is notable for its thorough Introduction, covering the history of the expedition and earlier exploration, and a detailed account of the original journals and their various editions.
