The Mini was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original is considered a British icon of the 1960's and its space-saving front-wheel drive layout allowing 80% of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage, influenced a generation of car makers. In 1999, the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century behind the Ford Model T. Initially Minis were marketed under the Austin and Morris names until Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969. The Mini was again marketed under the Austin name in the 1980's and was offered in a number of limited editions that usually included a special combination of trim and badging. This 1994 Mini has had over £5,000 spent on it, including a performance engine upgrade with polished pistons, lightened flywheel and a stainless steel exhaust. With an odometer reading of only 61,030 miles, it is finished in blue with black leather seats, complemented by a wooden dashboard and minilite style wheels. Whilst the gearbox functions perfectly well it should be noted that occasionally it will jump out of reverse gear. Supplied with a V5 registration document and a current MOT test certificate, this great little car represents a fun and interesting entrance level classic.
