Beschreibung:

The MGB was a relatively modern design at the time of its introduction, utilizing a monocoque structure instead of the traditional 'body-on-frame' construction used on both the MGA and MG T-types. The lightweight design reduced manufacturing costs while adding to overall vehicle strength. Wind-up windows were standard and a comfortable driver's compartment offered plenty of legroom. The MGB's performance was considered brisk at the time of its introduction with a 0-60mph time of just over 11 seconds aided by the relatively light weight of the car. This very early MGB Roadster with wire wheels and pull out door handles was subject to a ground up restoration just prior to the vendor purchasing the car in 2008. Shipped to his home in Guernsey, this MG has had very little use and has only covered 8,850 miles since the restoration. Finished in the original colour of Powder Blue with the correct black seats piped in blue, the interior is completely original, still retaining the correct steering wheel and radio aperture cover. The car is supplied with a State of Guernsey registration document, a photograph album containing a picture record of the restoration, the original handbooks and a file of invoices and MoT test certificates up to 2007. This is an extremely pretty classic British motorcar in excellent order throughout.
