They were then sold as part of a Paramount Studios auction in the 60s/70s. Robert Ayres (1913-2012) began his professional career in advertising and book illustration. Through his Biblical illustrations for book publications and later a series for church bulletin covers, this resulted in an assignment to illustrate the opening scenes of 'Ben Hur'. That opened the way for 25years as an illustrator with M.G.M., Paramount, Warner Brothers, Seven Arts, Universal, and the last fourteen years at Disney Studios.
