The main text is preceded by the genealogies, 34 pp., and the double-page woodcut map by John Speed (not issued with all copies), with printed text "A Description of Canaan..." on verso. The Old and New Testaments each have a elaborate woodcut title-page, the former dated 1613, the latter 1614. Following the New Testament are the Christian Reader and Book of Psalms. Herbert 331, noting it "closely resembles but is quite distinct from No 323," which was the first black letter quarto edition of King James' version. Lot Amendments Condition: Lacks A8 of first signature of prelims. (list of books); Ss3-5 (at end of OT); A1 of the Christian Reader which follows the NT; and lacking some leaves at the end of the Book of Psalms. Some marginal ink notations in early hands.
