The Georgian Play House a large painted wood dolls' house of three bays and three stories, painted brick red with stone grey quoining, slate grey roof, twin chimney stacks, green painted front door with semi-circular fan light and six flat bun feet, opening at the front to reveal six rooms with staircase and landing, dummy doors, fire surrounds and warming plate in kitchen, mid 19th century --53in. (135cm.) high, 43in. (109cm.) wide and 13¼in. (34cm.) deep (interior redecorated) ; the furnishings including a rare group of six miniature hand coloured prints of the wife and children of George III in gilt metal frames surmounted by crowns, late 18th century ; Waltershausen pieces including a work table, a small scale bureau, dressing chest, davenport, sofa, red leather upholstered chairs, upright piano and dressing table; hand made oak bureau bookcase; bisque-headed dolls with moulded hair styles; a petit point picture; an Evans and Cartwright dressing table mirror (distressed) and kitchen range; an English slatted wood bed with central canopy holder and original tufted mattress; Viennese cold painted bronze flower pots; gilt metal chandelier; Art Noveau mirror and bird cage; candle snuffers; work basket on stand; Regency tin toast rack, coffee pot, candle box, chamber sticks, two meat covers, cutlery tray, graters and fireplace; pewter plates; a stained bentwood box; brass warming pan and slotted ladles; soft metal mirror backed hanging shelves; cake stand; expanding dining table; clocks including a gilt metal pendulam wall clock; turned and painted wood part dinner service; two rocking chairs; coat stand; glass items; and a miniature jointed wood doll with composition face
