We found no other copy of the original imprint offered on the Internet. Of the 108 Bombing Survey Reports on the Pacific War, only a handful addressed the effects of the A-bomb; this was the only one to study the medical effects at Hiroshima and Nagasaki – understandably underplayed by the US Government. Unlike the famous Smyth Report which was rushed to press immediately after the Japanese surrender, this was issued two years after the War and buried in the voluminous and largely unread Bombing Survey series. Apart from the horrific photos, the Report is written in bureaucratese with section titles like Effects on Medical Facilities and Personnel, Nature of Atomic Bomb Casualties, Environment Sanitation, Food Supply and Nutrition, Communicable Diseases and Industrial Health and Hygiene.
