The Beatles/Brian Epstein A printed Cana Variety Agency contract completed in typescript between Jaybee Clubs Ltd. and Brian Epstein Esq. dated 6th February, 1962 for The Beatles to perform for one evening, at a salary of £30 (thirty pounds) , at the Subscription Rooms, Stroud on Sat. 31st Mar. 62 , the contract stipulating that the performance should last 1½ hours divided into 2 x 45 minute sessions, finishing not later than 11.45p.m. and that the artistes should wear Uniform dress; accompanied by two typescript letters on NEMS Enterprises Ltd. headed paper from Brian Epstein to Jack Fallon at Cana Variety Agency, one dated 4th October, 1962, asking Fallon ... Have you been able to find anymore engagements for THE BEATLES? and enclosing a copy of their latest press release (not present), signed by B. Adams on behalf of Epstein, 1p.; the other dated 23rd October, 1962, signed in blue ink by Brian Epstein, telling Fallon ...THE BEATLES recording in the New Musical Express chart this week, is at number twenty-seven adding they have a broadcast in London on the 27th November, can you use them on the 26th November? ; and a black and white publicity photograph of the group, circa 1962 -- 10x8in. (25.4x20.3cm.) (4)
