Thangka des Padmasambhava mit acht Emanationen. Tibet, 18. / 19. Jh. Leinwand, 68 x 41 cm. Reste des originalen Stoffrahmens, ca. 75 x 57 cm. Die rechte Hand Padmasambhavas (tib. Guru Rinpoche) hält einen vajra vor seinem Herzzentrum. Die linke liegt in dhyana mudra in seinem Schoß und hält eine Schädelschale mit Lebenswassergefäß (skt. jivana-kalasha). In dhyana-asana auf Lotosthron sitzend. Typisches Gewand von Udyana und Padzhawa, den Hut der höchsten Nyingmapa-Lamas, tragend. Zu seinen Seiten seine Gefährtinnen Mandarava und Yeshe Tsogyal. Oberhalb Buddha Amitabha. Padmasambhava umgeben von seinen acht Emanationen: Orgyan Dorje Chang, Nyima Oser, Shakya Sengge, Loden Chogse, Pema Gyalpo, Pema Jungne, Sengge Dradog und Dorje Drolo. Deutliche Altersspuren. Sehr seltene, antike Thangka-Malerei. Provenienz: Nachlass einer Juweliersfamilie aus dem Raum Osnabrück Laut rückseitigem Inventaraufkleber 1972 in Nepal erworben Rare antique Tibetan thanka paining of Padmasambhava with his eight emanations. 18th / 19th century. Canvas, 68 x 41 cm. Mounted in the remains of the original fabric frame, around 75 x 57 cm. The right hand of Padmasambhava (tib. Guru Rinpoche) holding a vertical vajra in front of his heart center. His left hand holding a skull cup (skt. kapala) with a vase of the long life (skt. jivana-kalasha). Seated in dhyana-asana on a lotus throne. Dressed in the typical robe of Udyana and wearing the Padzhawa hat of the highest Nyingma lamas. His consorts Mandarava and Yeshe Tsogyal standing on his sides. Above Buddha Amitabha. Padmasambhava is surrounded by his emanations: Orgyan Dorje Chang, Nyima Oser, Shakya Sengge, Loden Chogse, Pema Gyalpo, Pema Jungne, Sengge Dradog and Dorje Drolo. Heavy signs of age and wear. Provenance: Estate of a jeweler family from the Osnabrueck area Purchased 1972 in Nepal (according to the old inventory sticker at the back)
