Original pictorial printed yellow wrappers (light dust soiling, a few spines repaired, a few tears crossing text repaired, rear wrapper to parts 9, 12, and 13 supplied); tan morocco folding case. FIRST EDITION IN ORIGINAL MONTHLY PARTS, with the following issue points: page one has rustic lettering; the "Marquis of Steyne" woodcut is present on p.336; p.453 reads "Mr. Pitt" for "Sir Pitt." All of the inserted advertisements noted in Van Duzer are present, including the slip for Thackeray's Pendennnis in part 19/20, with the following exceptions: part 14 lacking "The Life and Adventures of Oliver Goldsmith" slip, part 16 lacking the "Vanity Fair Advertiser," and with 4pp. of ads not called for by Van Duzer, part 19/20 lacking "Vanity Fair Advertiser".
