Lot of 9 stereoviews featuring Civil War scenes and subjects including "1st Massachusetts Cavalry Camp in the Woods," "Army Blacksmith and Forge, Antietam, Sept. 1862," "Non-commissioned Officers' Mess, Co. 'D,' / 93d New York Infantry," "Gen. G. R. Paul shot blind at Gettysburg," "Bringing in the Wounded," "John L. Burns. Hero of Gettysburg," and others. All but one are marked on mount for Taylor and Huntington's "1861 Photographic War History. 1865" series, with subject descriptions and series details on verso. One (featuring John L. Burns) is marked on mount for W.H. Tipton & Co.'s "Artistic Stereo Gems of Gettysburg Scenery" series, with imprint and subject description on verso. Condition: All stereoviews with varying degrees of surface soil, toning, spots of discoloration, and wear to edges and corners. "1st Massachusetts Cavalry Camp in the Woods" stereoview with upper right and left corners missing from photographs and lower right corner missing from mount. "Army Blacksmith and Forge, Antietam, Sept. 1862" view with heavy spotting, adhesive residue/bleedthrough, creasing, and peeling from mount. "Gen. G. R. Paul shot blind at Gettysburg" view with pinholes along bottom margin of mount.
