Title: Tarpon Fishing in Mexico and Florida Author: Churchill, E[dward] G[eorge] S[pencer] Place: London Publisher: Harrison & Sons Date: [1907?] Description: 73, [2] pp. With photogravure frontispiece; 27 halftones from photographs printed in blue ink on inserted plates, some two per plate; 16 separate stereopticon view cards from photographs, also printed in blue ink, loose in rear endpaper pockets, as issued; folding color map. 8½x6¾, original light blue cloth lettered in white, photographic illustration mounted on front cover. First Edition. Scarce first edition of this rather remarkable book, with 16 stereo views of angling action, as well as photographs in the text. This is apparently the first fishing book to be illustrated with stereo views. Bruns C97. Lot Amendments Condition: Faint soiling and a touch of rubbing to covers; offset to endpapers, foxing to page edges, still in very good or better condition, much nicer that usually found.
