Flown on Apollo 17, a schematic from the LM Systems Data Book, a single folding sheet, 10½ by 37 inches, with a "SIGNFLOW AGS" (Signal Flow, Abort Guidance System) tab. Matted and framed to 16 by 43 inches. SIGNED AND INSCRIBED "Flown to the lunar surface in the Valley of Taurus-Littrow, December 1972, Gene Cernan, Apollo XVII CMR." With GENE CERNAN'S signed letter, stating that this sheet "was part of the LM Systems Data manual we carried along for troubleshooting and reference for the many electrical and mechanical systems that made up our lunar landing spacecraft, spacesuits and Lunar Roving Vehicle ... This is the Abort Guidance System signal flow schematic. The abort system used an entirely different computer, architecture and software than the regular guidance system (AGC), and was to be used in case of an aborted landing, which never happened during Apollo. This does not detail the guidance system itself, merely the connections between components, instruments, and readouts. This was, in fact, the AGS switch I inadvertently threw on Apollo 10, resulting in Snoopy's tailspin, which then resulted in my exclaiming 'Son of a bitch!' over a live mike, and hell to pay when we returned to earth."
