The volume is divided into two parts. The first part contains the works of the great English physician of the seventeenth century, called the "Hippocrates English", as he followed the system of Greek physician in the observation of the disease, which became very famous in his studies on infectious and epidemic diseases, Plague, as well as observation of fevers. The second part is a supplement to the previous volume, with articles and letters on the history of the epidemics. The work also contains writings by Joanne Baptista Mazino, Coelestini Cocchi, Bartholomaei Boschetti. Il volume si divide in due parti. La prima parte contiene le opere del grande medico inglese del XVII secolo, chiamato l’"Ippocrate inglese" poiché seguiva il sistema del medico greco nell'osservazione della malattia, che divenne molto famoso nei suoi studi sulle malattie infettive ed epidemiche, in particolare la peste, così come l'osservazione delle febbri.
