FIRST EDITION. Rothschild (vols. I and II only) 2401; Teerink 469 and 472. The third volume is particularly scarce. IMPORTANT ASSOCIATION COPY. Sir William Trumbull (1639-1716), notable lawyer and politician, rose to the position of Secretary of State under William III. Dryden testified that Trumbull was the moving spirit behind his translation of Virgil. He was also Pope's first patron. TEMPLE, William.
