Original green cloth (textblock detaching from covers, staining to covers); green cloth box. FIRST EDITION. Joseph Swan, anatomist and surgeon of the Lincoln County Hospital, devoted his career to the study of neuro-anatomy. He was one of the first to study nerve regeneration and discovered the relation between the optic thalamus and opposite side sensation.
