Supersonic 1952 Tecnical drawing and sketches by Giovanni Michelotti. Pencil on tracing paper. Section and details. Frame sizes: 20.08 x 27.56 in. The model that immediately brings back to Giovanni Savonuzzi's Supersonic made by Ghia: the design is less modern, but the stylistic features and the Supersonic-style tail are present, including the 3/4 front sketched. The genius of Giovanni Michelotti draws a line that not only brings us back to the two-colored Osca made for Vignale, but starting from the front wheel ends in a very modern and absolutely unpredented air inlet for the rear brakes. A solution judged perhaps too stylish for a racing car, but which would certainly have made the sculptural thinness of the sides of Mario Damonte's car less dramatic and more refined.
