Typewritten fan letter to Steve Ditko 8.5" x 11", with Ditko's two-character pencilled reply, folded and with original envelope with the late Mr. Ditko's label in the top corner bearing his address: 200 W. 51st St., Ste. 715, NY, NY 10019. Excellent condition. The Ditko Question; or, Mr. A Mystery Who hasn't read one of Ditko's Mr. A stories and been filled with questions? The author of this letter is no exception. He asks about Ditko's post-Spidey vigilante character, Mr. A, who was based upon the Objectivist ideas of Ayn Rand: "Dear Mr. Ditko, do you have plans for any more Mr. A adventures? I'd love to see a story about Mr. A in the 21st century, kind of like The Dark Knight Returns . I'm sure Mr. A would have interesting things to say about our current state of affairs. Would you ever consider updating Mr. A? Also,what do you think of the direction of our society? Do you have hope for the future? Do you ever feel like Spider-Man and Mr. A fought in vain?" Ditko's reply reads like something straight out of a puzzled Spidey's thought balloon: "!?" Consignments Accepted for PBA's Next Comic Book Auction.
