They were known for the exquisite quality of their craftsmanship, which can be seen in Lot 52, the mokume-gane ring, and for offering their clients gemstones of the highest quality, as in Lot 31, made with lapis framed by D color, VVS clarity, ideal cut diamonds. The gems were sourced by well-known connoisseur Richard W. Wise, G.G., author of the critically acclaimed book, Secrets Of The Gem Trade, The Connoisseur's Guide To Precious Gemstones. His second book, The French Blue, a historical fiction novel, offers readers a captivating account of 17th century gem merchant Jean-Baptiste Tavernier's journeys to Persia and India. Wise also offered their clients unique antique and period jewelry, and jewelry by contemporary masters Alex Sepkus, David Zoltan, and Zobel.
