Lot of 9, including: C.T. Dumont: Side-wheel packet built in 1864 in Cincinnati, Ohio, for the Cincinnati-Pomeroy trade. She was sold to the U.S. Mail Line Co. in 1864 for Cincinnati-Madison trade, and damaged in Warsaw, Kentucky when a tornado struck, destroying her upper works and sending her across to Florence, Indiana. In 1865, she was selected to carry Gen. U.S. Grant and his family from North Bend to Cincinnati. Uncredited aqua mount, the view also showing the Gen. Lytle, in front of the Roebling Suspension Bridge. Island Queen: Side-wheel excursion boat, built in Cincinnati, 1896. Operated between the city and Coney Island amusement park. The Island Queen burned on November 4, 1922. Grey America Illustrated / Tourist Series mount with rounded corners. Thompson Dean: Side-wheel packet, wood hull. There were two Thompson Deans, one built in 1872 in Cincinnati which served as both a freight and passenger steamer. The steamer made trips between Cincinnati and New Orleans. Interior view showing the luxurious saloon, on a yellow American Scenery / Tourists Series mount. Thompson Dean: Exterior view with the Roebling Suspension Bridge in the background, on uncredited aqua mount. Two steamers and a US Mail Line boat: View published by E. & H.T. Anthony, titled on the verso label, Views in and Around Cincinnati, Ohio. No. 7568 /Steamer at landing---Ohio River. City of Cincinnati: One steamer by this name was built in Jeffersonville, Indiana in 1899, lost in ice in Cincinnati in 1918. View shows the grand interior, on a peach Whiting View Co. / Twentieth Century Series mount with rounded corners. Alice Brown: Yellow American Scenery / Cincinnati, Ohio mount, probably from a negative by Charles Waldack. Construction of a bridge on the Cincinnati Levee is also shown. Various steamers: Three steamboats sit in the foreground while a US Mail Packet sits across the river in the background. Uncredited ivory mount, probably by Waldack or Seaver.
