Bound with: The Theatre of the Empire of Great Britaine, presenting an exact geography of the Kingdomes of England, Scotland, Ireland and Iles adioyning ...London: by John Legatt, for William Humble, 1627-1646. 4 parts, engraved architectural title, engraved armorial plate by Hondius dated 1614 on verso of list of Kingdoms, woodcut Royal arms in each part, printed titles to parts II-IV, woodcut arms of Speed at Xxx2v and 67 double-page maps, comprising 47 of England and the adjacent islands 14 of Wales, 1 of Scotland and 5 of Ireland, after Christopher Saxton, John Norden William White William Smith and Thomas Durham, engraved by Jodocus Hondius and others (Cumberland with small stains; a few splits at folds, some repaired). 2 works in one volume, 2° (415 x 290mm.), mounted on guards throughout (small dampstain affecting some upper margins). Full rose morocco by Sangorski & Sutcliffe (spine faded), slipcase. Ownership autograph of Constance Cadbury, 1942.
