Addressed to "Dearest Xenia", with printed greetings "With Best Wishes For Christmas And the New Year 1943 (year written in pen)", signed "Bertie" and "Elizabeth" in black fountain pen ink. Opposite the signed page is a mounted black and white photograph of the King, the Queen and their daughters taken in April 1942. Overall size 17.7 x 29cm when opened. A few stains to cover and signed page, yellowing to paper. The card is addressed to Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna of Russia, sister of the last tzar Nicholas II. After the Revolution she fled Russia and settled in the United Kingdom. She was also first cousin to the English King George V.
