The lithoprint edition was distributed shortly after the dropping of the atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Approximately 1000 copies were printed, and were given to leaders of the Manhattan Project as well as various reporters, though most of these copies were of course issued without the secret page VI-12, as it discussed plutonium production rates. Laid in are a copy of the original press release for the report, a commendation letter, and an original shoulder patch awarded to the Army officers and enlisted men who worked on the Manhattan Project.
