Singing Bird Box Automaton with Enameled Portrait, c. 1910 Probably Bontems. With going-barrel movement, bird with iridescent plumage, moving metal beak, perch, wings and tail, in composition or horn case with hinged key-compartment, enameled lid with interior depicting a floral arrangement on blue ground and exterior showing the study of a lady, possibly the actress Sarah Siddons (1755–1831), wd. 4 in. (10 cm), minor repair at side joint, working condition. With brass key, in silk-lined leather-covered fitted travelling case, wd. 4 ¾ in. (12 cm). – A visually appealing singing bird box with attractive enamel work. Singvogel-Automatendose mit Emaille-Portrait, um 1910 Vermutlich Bontems. Federwerkantrieb, Vogel mit schillerndem Gefieder, Metall-Schnabel, Flügel und Schwanz bewegt, auf drehender Stange, Gehäuse aus Horn oder Gießmasse, Rückseite mit Fach für den Schlüssel, emaillierter Deckel, innen mit Blumenstrauß auf blauem Hintergrund, außen mit dem Portrait einer Dame, möglicherweise die Schauspielerin Sarah Siddons (1755–1831), Gehäusebreite 10 cm, kleine Reparatur an dem Scharnier des Deckels. Gut funktionierender Zustand. Mit Messingschlüssel, in mit Seide ausgeschlagener und mit Leder überzogener Reise-Schatulle, Breite 12 cm. – Eine optisch ansprechende Singvogel-Dose mit attraktiven Emailarbeiten.
