The present work concerns a patent dispute between Siemens and a French organization of steel makers that exhibited at the 1878 Paris World's Fair. In a printed brochure circulated by the Societé Anonyme des Aciers Martin, Siemens was not given full credit for his invention, an innovative regenerative furnace used in steel production.
