SHAKESPEARIANA -- A commemorative 19th century wooden plaque carved from Herne's Oak, 1870, by W. Perry, 250 x 215mm, with bust of Shakespeare carved in high relief with decorative surround of intertwining bay leaves and inscription on verso: 'Carved out of Herne's Oak. By W. Perry, 1870' (some chips to surround), 250 x 220mm. [ With ]: A turned oak goblet, 19th century, with small white-metal plaque inscribed: 'To the memory of the immortal Shakespeare being a piece of ... Herne's Oak under which he would lie. Merry Wives of Windsor' (some cracks), 143mm. high, 93mm. diameter.
