Printed proclamation letter, along with letter by Rabbi Ben Zion of Bielsk, Rabbi Chaim of Brisk, Rabbi Yisrael Meir HaCohen of Radin and the Rebbe Rabbi Meir Yechiel HaLevi of Ostrovtza, against the renting of stores to businessmen whose shops are open on Shabbat. [The Chafetz Chaim harshly writes in his letter:"¦this is not less severe that he who rents his yard to a brothel G-D forbid¦ and the money earned through the desecration of Shabbat will have no blessing¦"]. Reverse side of leaf: translation of proclamation into Yiddish,"published by the Shomrei Shabbat Synagogue in Warsaw. Any Rabbi who requests these leaves will be granted them free of charge". 2 pages of 32.5 cm. Good condition, minor damages.
