Beschreibung:

Set of four vintage chromogenic prints on fibre-based Kodak paper, each ca.20.3 x 25.4cm (8 x 10in), “A Kodak Paper” watermark on verso, two of them numbered in red in top margin [NASA negative numbers AS8-15-2554, AS8-15-2562, AS8-16-2608, AS8-16-2622] (4) Now entering the gravitational sphere of influence of another celestial body for the first time in human history, the astronauts used a 250 mm telephoto lens to photograph the Earth getting smaller and smaller. “You can see the whole Earth at about ten thousand miles. And you start taking pictures. You take one at ten, and one at fifteen, and one at twenty, etc, etc. And of course, they’re all the same; it’s just that the Earth takes less of the field of view of the camera as you get further away. But you don’t think that. You think, Oh, I wanna take another picture now. I wanna take another picture now. It’s spectacular. Oh, it’s spectacular” David Scott in Voices from the Moon.
