Finely checkered straight-grip stock of contrasting figured walnut. Right hand rolled triggerguard. Gold oval with JWS. One-inch leather-covered recoil pad. Finely checkered splinter fore-end. Later leather double gun case with leather corners and brass hardware. Maroon baize interior with maker's label. Accessories include: leather handguard, snap caps, round oil bottle marked J. Purdey, replacement turnscrews, cleaning rod and cleaning accessories and spare strikers. Condition: Excellent, as redone. Barrels show 99% reblued finish. Set 1 shows bright bores with patches of frosting or streaking. Set 2 shows bright bores. Right barrel shows trace of a bulge. Left barrel shows some surface uneveness. Action shows 99% recased colors. Reblued triggerguard shows 99% finish. Wood shows refreshed finish. Case in excellent condition with some scratches and scuffing. Interior shows some limited losses.
