Partly mounted in modern ring bound album with handwritten. mount cover label. - The photographs show: British soldiers with artillery (these partly handwritten inscribed on verso "Christmas Day: two of our crew. Before going on patrol"), a guarded border post, battle scenes in city scenery, panoramas of military marches, war vehicles and tanks, locals in daily situations, various mountain passes (partly inscribed in negative, resp. located (Sharma, Arora)), photos of monuments (a.o. Bara Imambara), landscape views (a.o. Khyber Pass). - Partly with duplicates, some prints in the margins somewhat silvered, creased and fingerspotted. Overall very well preserved collection with interesting representations in strong contrast.
