Contemporary ?English red straight-grained morocco gilt, covers with narrow fillet and roll-tool border, spine in seven compartments with raised bands, blue morocco lettering-piece in the second, the others decorated with various small tools, surrounding either a cornucopia or flower spray, gilt turn-ins, marbled endpapers, g.e. (very light rubbing to head and foot of spine and corners), modern morocco-backed cloth. Provenance : Countess Cowper (armorial bookplate). First Ibarra edition.
