Publisher's cloth-backed pictorial boards in dust jacket. 7 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches; x, 83 pp.; frontispiece, plates. Light wear to jacket extremities, one or two smudges to panels, spine ends lightly rubbed, endpapers toned. "A very scarce work, chock-full of deer hunting stories, and with several chapters on hunting wild turkey and one on duck shooting" (Heller). Warmly inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: "Only the spirit of friendship moves me to offer these common places to an old (though still young) master of the art of writing of wild life.
