Smith stationery. The letter to Albert Holmer of Exeter, N.H. presenting him with an informational pamphlet on Smith in advance of the National Convention. 10 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches (27.5 x 21 cm). Usual folds, some toning and handling creases, small stain to lower corner. In 1924, Roosevelt nominated Al Smith, New York's well-liked Governor, to be the Democratic candidate for the presidency, which was eventually won by Calvin Coolidge. Signed material from this period is somewhat scarce as Roosevelt had contracted polio in 1921 and spent much of the next few years recovering from the disease. C
