JOHN ROOSEVELT'S COPY OF HIS FATHER'S PUBLIC PAPERS AND ADDRESSES FIRST EDITIONS, PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY THE PRESIDENT TO HIS SON on the front free endpaper in volume one: "For John Aspinwall Roosevelt from his affectionate Father Franklin D. Roosevelt The White House 1938." The monumental set of FDR's Public Papers and Addresses began publication during his second term and continued after his death, the final four volumes being completed under the editorship of Samuel I.
