RONALD COLMAN PERSONALLY COMPILED SCRAPBOOK RELATED TO "A DOUBLE LIFE" INCLUDING CELEBRITY CORRESPONDENCE 1947-1948 A large scrapbook filled with ephemera related to "A Double Life" compiled by the actor himself. Consisting of newspaper clippings, magazine articles, reviews, programs from the Academy Awards ceremony and special film screenings, mementos from various related functions, flyers and unpublished black and white photographs, all of these items had special significance to Colman and convey just how popular the film was. Of special note is a large assortment of congratulatory telegrams and letters sent to Colman after he won the Oscar including ones from Vivein Leigh, Laurence Olivier, Samuel Goldwyn, Ginger Rogers, Alfred Hitchcock Basil Rathbone, Nunnally Johnson, Tyrone Power, Loretta Young, Frances Marion, Joan Crawford Jack L. Warner, Greer Garson, Rosalind Russell and Dore Schary among countless others. 17 x 14 x 3 inches
