(frame). Note: American Robert Abbett began is artistic career as an illustrator of books and book covers, as well as work on magazines and in advertising. He moved from the mid-west to Connecticut in 1953 where he built a house on an old farm property and was inspired to paint the land and wildlife around him. Abbett is best-known today for his paintings of sporting dogs and the country life.
